Bathroom Renovation in Dubai
A bathroom renovation packs a lot of work into a small room: drainage, waterproofing, tiling, fixtures and the vanity. Because every layer depends on the one beneath it, we plan the order before anything is removed. Then we build the vanity and storage in our own workshop.

- Workshop vanities Wall-hung or floor-standing, made to the room.
- Wet trades Tiling, waterproofing and plumbing under our contract.
- Existing drainage Layouts planned around where the pipes really run.
- Clear sequence Every layer finished before the next one starts.

Scope
What a bathroom renovation usually includes
Some bathrooms only need a new vanity and mirror. Others, however, need everything replaced, down to the pipes in the floor. During the visit, we check the condition of the tiles, the waterproofing and the fixtures. Then we recommend which parts to keep.
A full bathroom renovation typically covers:
- removal of old tiles, fixtures and sanitary ware
- plumbing changes and waterproofing in wet areas
- wall and floor tiling
- a shower enclosure or bath
- a new vanity, mirror cabinet and storage
- lighting, extraction and a final coat of paint
Decisions
Bathroom renovation choices to make early
These choices affect the plumbing and tiling, so they need to be settled before work starts.
Layout
Toilets and showers depend on drainage. Therefore, moving them is possible in some villas but very limited in most apartments.
Shower or bath
A walk-in shower suits most busy households. However, a bath may matter for young children or for resale.
Vanity
Because we make them ourselves, we build custom bathroom vanities to the exact width of the wall, with drawers planned around the trap.
Countertop and basin
Stone, solid surface and integrated basins each need different support. For a comparison, our page on vanity countertops and sinks compares them.
Storage
Mirror cabinets, tall units and recessed niches also keep surfaces clear. See bespoke bathroom furniture for more options.
Ventilation
Bathrooms in Dubai stay humid, so extraction matters. We also choose cabinet materials that tolerate moisture.
Moisture and materials
Building bathroom joinery that lasts
Above all, water is the enemy of bathroom furniture. For that reason, we use moisture-resistant boards for carcasses and seal every cut edge. In addition, wall-hung vanities keep the cabinet off a wet floor and make cleaning easier.
Finishes need the same care. For example, lacquer and veneer both work well when sealed properly, while raw timber does not suit a shower room.

Process
How a bathroom renovation runs
- Survey We measure the room, check the drainage and note what stays.
- Design Next, you approve the layout, tiles, fixtures and vanity design.
- Quotation Each trade and item is priced on its own line.
- Strip-out and services First the old finishes come out, and then plumbing and waterproofing go in.
- Tiling and fit-out After tiling, our team fits the vanity, mirror and storage.
- Handover Finally, we test the fixtures with you and close any snags.
Building work in Dubai follows the Dubai Building Code, alongside any rules your building or community sets.
Budget
What affects the cost of a bathroom renovation
No two bathrooms cost the same, so we price each one from a survey. These factors make the biggest difference:
- whether drainage or the layout changes
- the size and type of tiles
- the shower enclosure, bath and sanitary ware
- the vanity size, material and countertop
Hidden problems can also appear. For instance, old waterproofing sometimes fails once tiles are lifted. We therefore explain how we price any work that cannot be seen at the survey.
For a first estimate, send photos of the whole room and its approximate size. After that, we confirm the details on site.
Questions
Bathroom renovation FAQs
Can I keep using my bathroom during the work?
Not while the room is being renovated. Where you have only one bathroom, we discuss the sequence with you before starting, so the disruption stays as short as possible.
Can you only replace the vanity?
Yes. In fact, a new vanity is one of the simplest upgrades, provided the plumbing connections suit it.
Can you move the shower or toilet?
Sometimes. It depends on the drainage below the floor, so we confirm it at the survey rather than promise it in advance.
Do you renovate apartment bathrooms?
Yes. In apartments, however, building rules and fixed drainage usually limit layout changes. Our apartment renovation page explains why.
