Fit-Out in Bluewaters Island
Fit-out in Bluewaters Island is apartment work with a sea view to respect. The Meraas residences hand over well finished, but the wardrobes are open rails and the living rooms have no obvious wall for a television. So most owners add fitted wardrobes, a media wall and better kitchen storage, and we build all of it in our Ras Al Khor workshop before it ever reaches the island.
Because the island has one road in and strict delivery slots, we plan the logistics first and the joinery second.

Fit-out in Bluewaters Island: every building
Bluewaters is compact, but each building has its own management office, loading bay and permitted hours. Because of that, we check the rules for your block before we draw a single panel.
Building names follow the developer’s plans. If yours is not listed, then send the name and we will confirm the delivery rules before you commit to anything. We also cover Al Sufouh, Pearl Jumeirah and Jumeirah Bay Island, and the full list is on areas we serve in Dubai.
What fit-out in Bluewaters Island covers
Most of our work on Bluewaters is one of six things, so here they are. Each one starts with a measured survey, because the lift, the corridor and the delivery slot decide how every piece is built.

Full-height wardrobes built in lift-sized sections, with interiors planned around what you own rather than a standard layout. See also fitted wardrobes.

This is also the piece that gives an open-plan living room its focal point, so cables, ventilation and the soundbar are designed in. See also TV units and media walls.

Upgrade the handover kitchen with a larder, new fronts or a stone top, or otherwise rebuild the run entirely. See also kitchen makeovers.

A slatted screen divides the living and dining zones without blocking the sea view, and it also hides the cables behind it. See also feature walls.

Moisture-resistant vanities with stone tops, because sea air makes bathrooms the hardest room on joinery. See also bathroom vanities.

Desks, storage walls and shelving for a home office, as well as joinery for the island’s retail units. See also office renovation.
How a fit-out runs, start to finish
Survey
We measure the apartment and check the service lift, the corridor and the loading bay, because tower access decides how every piece is built.
Drawings and permit
Before anything else, you receive the layout, the materials and finish samples. Then we prepare the method statement and trade documents that building management asks for, and the work follows the Dubai Building Code.
Fixed quotation
Priced line by line, so you can add or drop an element without renegotiating the whole job. Then nothing goes to the workshop until you sign it off.
Manufacture
Then we cut, assemble and finish everything in Ras Al Khor, in sections that fit the lift. As a result, the only noise on site comes from assembly and fixing.
Installation
Finally our fitters work inside the building’s permitted hours, protect the common areas and leave the apartment clean at the end of each day.
Materials and finishes for fit-out in Bluewaters Island
Sea air and floor-to-ceiling glass are a demanding combination for any fit-out in Bluewaters Island, so we seal every edge and keep the darker veneers away from the sun. Three options, however, cover most of the work we do here.
Walnut and oak veneer
- Best for
- Dressing rooms, libraries and especially media walls where the grain should read as one surface.
- Finish
- Book-matched across a run of doors, then sealed with a UV-stable lacquer.
- Watch for
- Sun through large glazing, so we keep the darker species away from the glass.
High-gloss and matt lacquer
- Best for
- Kitchens, wardrobes and above all handle-less fronts with push-to-open hardware.
- Finish
- Multiple coats sprayed in the workshop booth, then polished.
- Watch for
- Fingerprints on gloss, so we suggest matt or satin in family rooms.
Stone, brass and glass
- Best for
- Vanities, bar areas and display shelving, in other words where joinery meets other trades.
- Finish
- Stone tops, brass trims and glass shelves integrated with the timber, so one team answers for the whole piece.
- Watch for
- Weight and fixings, so we design the carcass for the stone before it is cut.
Fit-out detail
Finally, here are seven plates from recent work. Each one was drawn for a specific room, and that is the only reason any of them fit.

FAQs about fit-out in Bluewaters Island
What does the building need before you can start?
A work permit from building management, usually with a refundable deposit, plus our trade licence, insurance and a method statement. We prepare all of it, so you sign nothing until it is ready.
How do you get a wardrobe onto the island?
We measure the service lift and corridor at the survey, build every piece in sections that fit, then book the delivery slot before the day. Assembly happens inside the apartment.
Can you furnish an apartment for holiday lets?
Yes, often. We use hard-wearing laminates, hidden fixings and finishes that clean easily, and we schedule installation between guest stays.
Do you work in the Bluewaters townhouses?
Yes. Townhouse work follows the same permit process, although there is more scope for dressing rooms, a study and a full kitchen refit.
How long does an apartment package take?
Three to five weeks from approved drawings, depending on the rooms. Installation then takes one to three days inside the building’s permitted hours.
What does it cost?
Every piece is priced separately, so you can compare like with like. Our fitted wardrobe cost guide gives current ranges per running metre.
