Wardrobe Repair
Sliding doors that jump the track, hinged doors that drop, drawers that stick: most wardrobe faults are fixable without replacing the wardrobe.
Fix the fault, keep the wardrobe
Wardrobe repair is about the working parts. Tracks, rollers, hinges, runners and shelf supports wear out long before the boards do, and a wardrobe that is difficult to use is often only one or two failed parts away from working properly again.
Send us a short video or a photograph of the problem first. That usually tells us whether it is an adjustment, a replacement part or a sign of a bigger issue such as a swollen panel. If you want the wardrobe to look different as well, see wardrobe renovation, and for new fronts only, wardrobe door replacement.
Common wardrobe faults
These are the problems customers ask us about most often.

Hinged doors that sag or rub
Usually a loose or worn hinge, or screws that have lost their grip in the board. We adjust, re-fix or replace the hinges and realign the doors.

Sliding doors that stick or jump
Worn rollers, a bent or dirty track, or doors that have come out of adjustment. We clean, adjust or replace the parts so the doors run smoothly.

Drawers and shelves
Drawers that drop or stick, broken runners, and shelves that have bowed or lost their supports. We replace runners and supports and reinforce shelves where needed.

Other repairs
Hanging rails
Rails that have pulled away from the side panel, or bent under weight, can be re-fixed or replaced with a stronger rail or a middle support.
Handles and locks
We can replace loose or broken handles and wardrobe locks, ideally with a matching style.
Damaged edges and panels
We can often repair chipped edges and small areas of damage. Panels that are swollen from water usually need replacing.
Mirror doors
If a mirror door is cracked, tell us before the visit. We handle broken mirror with care and make the door safe first.
Parts we work with
Where possible, we fit parts that match what is already there. If the original part is no longer made, we fit the closest suitable equivalent.
- Hinges. Concealed hinges, including soft-close versions.
- Drawer runners. Side-mounted and under-mounted runners, with soft-close options.
- Sliding door gear. Rollers, guides, tracks and stops.
- Shelf supports and rails. Shelf pins, brackets and hanging rails with end supports.
- Boards and edging. Replacement shelves, panels and edging where a part cannot be repaired.

How a repair visit works
- Send a photo or video. Show the fault, the hinge or track involved, and the whole wardrobe.
- Diagnosis. From the photos we tell you what is likely to be wrong. Where we need to see it, we arrange a visit.
- Fixed price. You receive a written price before the work starts, including any parts.
- Repair. We fit the parts, adjust the doors and drawers, and test everything.
- Check. If something needs further adjustment afterwards, we come back and put it right.
What affects the price
We price repairs on the fault and the parts. The main factors are:
- The number of doors, drawers or shelves involved.
- Whether the job is an adjustment or needs new parts.
- The type of hinge, runner or sliding gear.
- Any damaged panels that need replacing.
- Access, such as a high wardrobe or a tight space.
What to send for a quote
- A short video of the door or drawer that is not working.
- A close-up photograph of the hinge, runner or track.
- A photograph of the whole wardrobe.
- Roughly how old the wardrobe is, if you know.
- Your building or community.
Send these on WhatsApp to +971 54 766 1410, by email to ba***************@***il.com, or through the contact page.
Wardrobe repair FAQs
Can you repair a wardrobe you did not build?
Yes. Most wardrobes use standard hinges, runners and sliding gear, so we can repair them whoever made them.
My sliding door keeps coming off the track. Can it be fixed?
Usually, yes. It is often a worn roller, a loose guide or a track that needs cleaning or re-fixing. A short video helps us tell which.
Can you upgrade to soft-close while repairing?
Often, yes, depending on the hinge or runner type. We will tell you if your wardrobe can take soft-close fittings.
Is it worth repairing an old wardrobe?
If the panels are sound, a repair is usually worthwhile. If several panels are swollen or broken, we will say so and explain the options.
Do you repair kitchen cabinets too?
Hinges and drawer runners work the same way in kitchens, so yes. For wider kitchen updates, see kitchen makeover.
