Fitted furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, doors and staircases. We measure, build and install with our own carpenters, and we have been doing it in Dubai since 1985.
Carpentry services we provide
- Fitted furniture — media walls, TV units, shelving and storage built to the room

- Wardrobes — hinged, sliding and walk-in, with the internals planned around what you actually store
- Doors — interior doors, frames, architraves and door replacement
- Staircases and balustrades — new timber stairs, handrails and spindles
- Commercial joinery — reception counters, shop fits and office furniture
- Repairs and alterations — sticking doors, water damage, broken hinges and refitting

Why our carpentry services are built, not assembled
We work from our own workshop in Ras Al Khor, not from a van. That means the piece is made to your measurements rather than bought in and trimmed, and the person who measured the room can walk over and look at it on the bench.
It also means we choose the board for the job. Kitchens and bathrooms get moisture-resistant board, because a general-purpose board swells at the cut edges and the doors stop closing squarely within a year. However, for fitted furniture in a living room, a veneered or spray-finished board looks better and costs less.
Since hardware fails first, hinges and runners come from Blum and Hettich. Hardware is the part that fails first, and it is the cheapest thing to get right.
How our carpentry services run, start to finish
- First, we visit and measure the space, including the parts that are out of square. Older Dubai buildings rarely have a true corner.
- Then you get a drawing and a fixed price, so nothing is cut until you have approved both.
- We build it in the workshop. You are welcome to come and see it before it is installed.
- After that, the same carpenters fit it on site, and we take the packaging away with us.
Most fitted work then takes two to four weeks from an approved drawing. Doors, repairs and smaller alterations are usually quicker. You can see finished projects on our projects page.

Questions about our carpentry services in Dubai
It depends on the job. For example, fitted furniture is priced by size and finish, while doors and repairs are priced by the item. We give a fixed price after measuring, so the number does not move once you have agreed it.
For repairs and small alterations, usually within a few days. Fitted furniture and kitchens start once you have approved the drawing, and take two to four weeks.
Often, yes. Send a photograph in daylight and we will tell you what we can match. Timber varies between batches, so we compare samples before we cut anything.
Yes. Water damage is common here, and the fix depends on how far it has gone. If the carcass is sound we can replace the affected panels and doors. If the board has swelled through, we remake the unit with moisture-resistant board.
Yes. We take on joinery packages for fit-outs and can work to a main contractor’s programme. We are a family business, trading as Abdulla Carpentry EST.
