Sliding Wardrobes Made to Measure
Full-height sliding wardrobes for rooms where a hinged door would hit the bed, the wall or the window.
When a sliding wardrobe makes sense
Sliding wardrobes save the space a hinged door needs to swing open, which matters in many apartment bedrooms. If the gap between the bed and the wardrobe is tight, sliding doors let you open the wardrobe without moving anything.
The trade-off is access. With two doors you can only open half the wardrobe at a time, and with three you see roughly two thirds. So we plan the interior around the door positions, keeping drawers where a door will not cover them when open.
If you are still deciding, our sliding vs hinged wardrobe doors guide compares the two. For a room-sized dressing area, see walk-in closets.
Door styles
The doors carry the look of the room, so most of the choice is here.

Veneer or painted doors
Oak or walnut veneer, or painted MDF in a matt or satin colour. Flat panels suit modern rooms, while framed or grooved doors suit a classic one.

Mirror and glass
Full mirror doors make a small room feel larger and save a separate mirror. Tinted or frosted glass gives a lighter look while hiding the contents.

Mixed panels
Doors split into two or three panels, for example mirror in the centre and timber above and below, or two colours that match the bedroom.

Planning the inside
Two, three or four doors
The width decides the number of doors. More doors means narrower panels and easier access, while fewer doors give a cleaner face.
Drawers clear of the doors
Internal drawers must sit where the doors do not overlap them, so they can open fully. We mark these zones on the drawing.
Full-height fronts
Doors can run from floor to ceiling, which hides the gap above the wardrobe and makes the wall read as one surface.
Tracks and soft-close
The track and door type are agreed at the survey, based on the floor, the ceiling and the weight of the doors. Soft-close stops are available.
Materials and finishes
Sliding doors are opened every day, so we balance the look against wear.
- Painted or lacquered MDF. A smooth colour finish that suits handle-free doors.
- Wood veneer. Real timber faces in oak, walnut and other species, with a sealed lacquer.
- Laminate. Durable and easy to clean, with solid colours and wood-grain prints. A practical choice for children’s rooms.
- Mirror and glass. Clear mirror, tinted or frosted glass, used for whole doors or single panels.
- Interiors. Laminate or melamine carcasses and shelves, with soft-close drawer runners and hanging rails.
See the cabinet materials guide for a side-by-side comparison.
How we make and fit a sliding wardrobe
- Share the space. Send photographs and the width and height of the wall, plus what you need to store.
- Measure. We visit, check that the floor and ceiling are level, and note skirting, sockets and air-conditioning. The visit is free within Dubai.
- Drawing and fixed price. You approve the door layout, interior and finish on a drawing with a written, fixed price.
- Build. Carcasses and doors are made in our Ras Al Khor workshop.
- Fit and adjust. Our own team installs the wardrobe, aligns the doors on the track and cleans up.
Most wardrobes take three to six weeks from the confirmed drawing, depending on the finish.
What affects the price
Every wardrobe is quoted after measuring. The price depends mainly on:
- The width and height of the wardrobe and the number of doors.
- The door finish: laminate, painted MDF, veneer, mirror or glass.
- The amount of internal fittings, such as drawers, trouser racks and shoe shelves.
- The track system and soft-close fittings.
- Floor-to-ceiling infill panels, end panels or lighting.
Our fitted wardrobe cost guide explains how these choices affect the total.
What to send for a quote
- A photograph of the wall, straight on, and one showing the bed or furniture in front of it.
- The width of the wall and the floor-to-ceiling height.
- Your preferred door finish, or a photograph of one you like.
- Roughly how much hanging and how many drawers you need.
- The building or community name.

Sliding wardrobe FAQs
How deep is a sliding wardrobe?
Sliding doors run on tracks in front of the carcass, so a sliding wardrobe is slightly deeper than a hinged one with the same interior. We confirm the final depth on the drawing.
Can you replace hinged doors with sliding doors on my existing wardrobe?
Sometimes. It depends on the carcass depth and whether there is room for the track. Send photographs and measurements and we will tell you, or see wardrobe renovation.
Are mirror doors safe in a child’s room?
We discuss the door material for each room. For children’s rooms, many families choose laminate or painted doors instead of mirror.
Can the doors go up to the ceiling?
Yes, if the ceiling is level enough. We check this when we measure and plan infill panels where it is not.
What if a door starts to stick?
Doors can need a small adjustment after the wardrobe settles. Call us and we will come back and put it right.
Do you fit sliding wardrobes outside Dubai?
Yes. See the areas we serve for the communities and emirates we cover.
