Joinery in Pearl Jumeirah

Joinery in Pearl Jumeirah is bespoke work from the first drawing, because no two villas match. The island’s villas were designed one at a time by their owners’ architects, so there is no standard wardrobe wall, no catalogue door size and no typical kitchen. We design, make and then install all of it from one workshop, usually alongside the architect and the contractor.

That changes how we work, in particular at the drawing stage, where we spend longer on elevations, sections and sample boards than on anything else.

Joinery in Pearl Jumeirah: every plot type

Pearl Jumeirah sits off Jumeirah 1 and mixes private villa plots with serviced residences. Because every villa is different, we treat each one as a new design rather than a variation.

If your plot or building is not listed, then send the number and we will confirm the access rules before you commit to anything. We also cover Jumeirah Bay Island, Al Sufouh and Downtown Dubai, and the full list is on areas we serve in Dubai.

02 — Scope

What joinery in Pearl Jumeirah covers

Most of our work on Pearl Jumeirah is one of six things, so here they are. Each one is drawn for the actual room, because a villa designed from scratch deserves joinery designed the same way.

03 — Method

From private survey to installation

01

Survey and brief

We walk the house with you, measure the rooms involved and discuss the finish level. Large houses need a sequence, so we agree it at this stage.

day 1
02

Design drawings

Soon afterwards, elevations, sections and a sample board arrive. For example, a dressing room gets a drawer-by-drawer plan before we price anything. External work follows the Dubai Building Code and the community guidelines.

03

Fixed quotation

We price by element, so the library and the majlis can proceed on different dates. Read our quote checklist before you sign.

04

Workshop build

After that, we match the veneers, spray the lacquers and fit the hardware in Ras Al Khor. Then we dry-assemble every piece before delivery.

Installation

Finally our team installs in stages, room by room, and returns for a final adjustment visit once the house has settled.

04 — Specification

Materials and finishes for joinery in Pearl Jumeirah

For joinery in Pearl Jumeirah the material is the design, so we sample everything in the actual room before we commit. Sea air and large glazing also decide a lot. Three options, however, cover most of the work we do here.

Walnut and oak veneer

Best for
Dressing rooms, libraries and especially media walls where the grain should read as one surface.
Finish
Book-matched across a run of doors, then sealed with a UV-stable lacquer.
Watch for
Sun through large glazing, so we keep the darker species away from the glass.

High-gloss and matt lacquer

Best for
Kitchens, wardrobes and above all handle-less fronts with push-to-open hardware.
Finish
Multiple coats sprayed in the workshop booth, then polished.
Watch for
Fingerprints on gloss, so we suggest matt or satin in family rooms.

Stone, brass and glass

Best for
Vanities, bar areas and display shelving, in other words where joinery meets other trades.
Finish
Stone tops, brass trims and glass shelves integrated with the timber, so one team answers for the whole piece.
Watch for
Weight and fixings, so we design the carcass for the stone before it is cut.
05 — Detail plates

Fit-out detail

Finally, here are seven plates from recent work. Each one was drawn for a specific room, and that is the only reason any of them fit.

06 — Questions

FAQs about joinery in Pearl Jumeirah

Can you work from my architect’s drawings?

Yes, and in fact we prefer it. Send the drawings and the finish schedule, and we return shop drawings for approval. Where there is no designer, our design service prepares them with you.

Do you need approval for joinery?

Internal joinery needs no permit. Structural changes, external doors and anything visible from outside do, and the Dubai Building Code applies. We supply the trade documents for the application.

How do you handle a four-metre door or panel?

We build it in the workshop, dry-assemble it, then deliver it in sections that the house can take. Tall pieces also get concealed joints planned at the drawing stage.

How long does a dressing room take?

Six to eight weeks from approved drawings, because veneer matching and lacquer curing take time. Installation then takes three to five days.

Can you work alongside the main contractor?

Yes, and we do it often. We agree wall positions and services early, then deliver the joinery as soon as the rooms are plastered and painted.

What does it cost?

We price every element separately, so you can decide room by room. Our guide to comparing joinery quotes explains what to check before you choose a supplier.
