Carpentry in Al Merkadh
Carpentry in Al Merkadh is work on our own doorstep. Al Merkadh is the official district that holds much of Meydan and Mohammed Bin Rashid City, from the lagoon villas of District One to the towers of Sobha Hartland, and our workshop in Ras Al Khor sits on its edge. So a survey is a ten-minute drive, and a return visit to adjust a door is never a problem.
Because the district mixes mansions, townhouses and towers, we survey first and quote after, never the other way round.

Carpentry in Al Merkadh: every community in the district
Al Merkadh runs from Ras Al Khor Road to the racecourse and holds a dozen named communities. Because each one has its own developer and rules, we keep separate drawings for villas, townhouses and towers.
Community names follow the Dubai Municipality district map. If yours is not listed, then send the building or plot number and we will confirm before you commit to anything. We also cover Mohammed Bin Rashid City, District One, Sobha Hartland and Nad Al Sheba, and the full list is on areas we serve in Dubai.
What carpentry in Al Merkadh covers
Most of our work in Al Merkadh is one of six things, so here they are. Each one starts with a measured survey, because a lagoon mansion and a Hartland apartment need very different set-outs.

Full-height apartment wardrobes built in lift-sized sections, as well as dressing rooms for the villa communities. See also fitted wardrobes.

New kitchens for the villa communities, together with the stone top and the appliances you choose, or a refit of a handover kitchen. See also custom kitchens.

Seating, panelling and concealed storage for a villa majlis, all designed at the same time as one room. See also majlis design.

This is also the piece that decides how a living room works, so cables, ventilation and the soundbar are designed in. See also TV units and media walls.

Pantry, laundry and entrance storage, because these are the rooms every handover plan leaves bare. See also laundry and utility storage.

Hinged, sliding and pivot doors made to the opening rather than the catalogue. See also interior doors.
How a job runs, start to finish
Survey
We visit the house and measure every wall that matters, then photograph the space. Send the villa type or plot number first, because it tells us a lot before we arrive.
Drawings and approval
Before anything else, you receive the layout, the materials and physical finish samples. For anything fixed to the structure we also supply the scope and our trade documents, because community management asks for them. The work follows the Dubai Building Code.
Fixed quotation
Priced line by line, so you can add or drop an element without renegotiating the whole job. Then nothing goes to the workshop until you sign it off.
Manufacture
Then we cut, assemble and finish everything in Ras Al Khor. This is where most of the calendar time sits, and it is also why the house stays liveable: the dust happens in our workshop, not your hallway.
Installation
Finally our own fitters arrive, usually for one to three days on a villa. We also protect the floors, contain the work area and clear up at the end of each day.
Materials and finishes for carpentry in Al Merkadh
For carpentry in Al Merkadh we choose materials for the room and its use rather than for the showroom, because a lagoon mansion and a rental apartment live very different lives. Three options, however, cover most of the work we do here.
Veneer
- Best for
- Living rooms, studies and especially wardrobes where the grain should carry the room.
- Finish
- Clear matt, satin, or otherwise a stained tone to match existing timber.
- Watch for
- Fading under direct west light, so we specify a UV-stable lacquer over it.
Sprayed lacquer on MDF
- Best for
- The flat, seamless face that modern interiors lean on, especially kitchens and utility rooms.
- Finish
- Any RAL or matched colour, matt to satin. It also repaints cleanly later.
- Watch for
- Chip repair on corners, so we specify a rounded edge rather than a sharp one.
Solid timber
- Best for
- Tables, stair treads and handrails, as well as anything that carries weight.
- Finish
- Hardwax oil, or a lacquer that can be sanded back rather than replaced.
- Watch for
- Movement in air-conditioned rooms, so we acclimatise stock before machining.
Fit-out detail
Finally, here are seven plates from recent work. Each one was drawn for a specific room, and that is the only reason any of them fit.

FAQs about carpentry in Al Merkadh
How quickly can you come for a survey?
Usually within two working days, because the workshop is ten minutes away. Send a photograph and rough sizes first, so we bring the right samples.
Which approvals apply in Al Merkadh?
Internal joinery needs none. Towers need a work permit from building management, while villa communities need approval for external work under the Dubai Building Code. We supply the documents either way.
Can you fit out a home before we move in?
Yes, if we survey two to four weeks before handover. We build during the handover period, then install in one or two days once you have the keys.
Can you match an existing kitchen or majlis?
Yes. We take a sample to the workshop, match the veneer or lacquer, then send you a swatch before making anything.
Do you do small repairs as well?
Yes. Because we are so close, we take on door adjustments, hinge replacements and repainting that other workshops turn down.
What does it cost?
It depends on width, interior and finish, so we quote after the survey. Our fitted wardrobe cost guide gives current ranges per running metre.
Planning carpentry in your Al Merkadh home?
Send a photograph of the room and the community or building name. Then we will confirm the rules, tell you what the space will take, and arrange the free survey within days.
