Carpentry in Jumeirah Islands
Carpentry in Jumeirah Islands is mostly about updating. Nakheel built the villas around 2006 in Mediterranean, European and Islamic styles, so after twenty years the kitchens, wardrobes and doors are ready for a refresh. We replace, refit and rebuild, in our own workshop, to the measurements of the house you have rather than the one on the plan.
Because the clusters share a handful of villa types, we can usually tell you what will fit before we arrive.

Carpentry in Jumeirah Islands: every cluster
Jumeirah Islands is forty-six clusters of sixteen villas each, set on lakes between Jumeirah Park and the Lakes. Because the villa types repeat across clusters, we keep measured drawings for most of them.
Villa types follow Nakheel’s original plans. If yours is not listed, then send the cluster number and we will confirm before you commit to anything. We also cover Jumeirah Park, The Lakes and The Meadows, and the full list is on areas we serve in Dubai.
What carpentry in Jumeirah Islands covers
Most of our work in the Islands is one of six things, so here they are. Each one starts with a measured survey, because twenty-year-old villas rarely match their drawings.

The most common brief here, so we keep the carcasses if they are sound, fit new fronts and a stone top, and add the pull-outs the original never had. See also kitchen makeovers.

Full-height replacements for the original units, with proper interiors, as well as dressing rooms for extended masters. See also fitted wardrobes.

This is also the piece that decides how the family room works, so cables, ventilation and the soundbar are designed in. See also TV units and media walls.

Replace tired hollow doors with solid veneered or lacquered ones, hung in the existing frames rather than new ones. See also interior doors.

New timber handrails and balustrades for a dated staircase, and also storage beneath it. See also staircases.

Where the doors are sound, we spray-refinish kitchens and wardrobes in the workshop instead of replacing them. See also furniture repainting.
How a refit runs, start to finish
Survey
We visit the house and measure every wall that matters, then photograph the space. Send the villa type or plot number first, because it tells us a lot before we arrive.
Drawings and approval
Before anything else, you receive the layout, the materials and physical finish samples. For anything fixed to the structure we also supply the scope and our trade documents, because community management asks for them. The work follows the Dubai Building Code.
Fixed quotation
Priced line by line, so you can add or drop an element without renegotiating the whole job. Then nothing goes to the workshop until you sign it off.
Manufacture
Then we cut, assemble and finish everything in Ras Al Khor. This is where most of the calendar time sits, and it is also why the house stays liveable: the dust happens in our workshop, not your hallway.
Installation
Finally our own fitters arrive, usually for one to three days on a villa. We also protect the floors, contain the work area and clear up at the end of each day.
Materials and finishes for carpentry in Jumeirah Islands
Carpentry in Jumeirah Islands has to outlast the original, so we specify for daily use first and appearance second, and we get both. Three options, however, cover most of the work we do here.
Moisture-resistant board
- Best for
- Carcasses for kitchens, bathrooms and laundries, especially anywhere water may reach.
- Finish
- Laminate or melamine inside, together with sealed edges throughout.
- Watch for
- Swelling at the base when a pipe drips, which is the usual failure, so every edge is sealed.
Laminate and melamine
- Best for
- Wardrobe interiors, utility rooms and especially children’s rooms that take daily knocks.
- Finish
- Hundreds of colours and wood-grain prints, so there is always a match.
- Watch for
- Visible joints on long runs, so we plan the panel layout before cutting.
Veneer and lacquer
- Best for
- The visible faces, in other words the part you touch every day.
- Finish
- Veneer where the grain matters, otherwise sprayed lacquer where you want a clean colour.
- Watch for
- Mixing the two on one piece, so we sample both together before we commit.
Fit-out detail
Finally, here are seven plates from recent work. Each one was drawn for a specific room, and that is the only reason any of them fit.

FAQs about carpentry in Jumeirah Islands
Should I refit the kitchen or replace it?
It depends, above all, on the carcasses. If they are dry and square, a refit with new doors and a stone top is the sensible spend. We check at the survey and then tell you honestly.
Does Nakheel need to approve internal work?
No. Internal joinery needs no approval. External changes, for example a pergola or a new front door, do, and the Dubai Building Code applies. We supply the trade documents.
Can you replace the original sliding wardrobe doors?
Yes. We either fit new doors on new tracks or replace the whole unit. Our comparison of sliding versus hinged doors explains which works better here.
How long does a kitchen refit take?
About three weeks from approval, then two to three days on site. We keep the kitchen usable in the evenings wherever possible.
Can we stay in the villa while you work?
Almost always, and most families do. We assemble in short on-site windows, protect the floors, and leave the space usable at the end of each day.
What does it cost?
We price every element separately, so you can decide room by room. Our kitchen cabinet cost guide shows how a refit compares with a new kitchen.
Planning a refit in your Jumeirah Islands villa?
Send a photograph of the kitchen, wardrobe or staircase on WhatsApp. Then we tell you the same day whether to refit or replace, and the free survey turns that into drawings and a fixed quotation.
