Interior Painting in Dubai

Good interior painting is mostly preparation. Filling, sanding and priming take longer than the colour coats, yet they decide how the finish looks under Dubai’s strong daylight. So we spend the time there first, then paint walls, ceilings and woodwork in a clean, planned order.

  • Preparation Cracks filled, surfaces sanded and primed.
  • Protection Floors and furniture covered before work starts.
  • Walls and ceilings Matt, eggshell or washable finishes.
  • Woodwork Doors, frames and skirting repainted cleanly.

Preparation

Interior painting starts before the paint

Most painted walls in Dubai have a history. For example, there may be filled holes from old shelves, hairline cracks along board joints, or damp marks near an AC unit. If these are not dealt with, they show straight through a new colour.

So our preparation covers:

  • filling holes, dents and cracks
  • sanding the filler and any rough patches flush
  • treating stains so they do not bleed through
  • priming new plaster, repairs and bare board
  • masking edges, sockets and fittings

Where a crack keeps returning, the cause may be in the board or ceiling itself. In that case, we look at ceiling renovation or gypsum works instead of painting over it.

Scope

What our interior painting covers

We paint single rooms, whole apartments and full villas, either as a standalone job or as the last stage of a renovation.

Walls

Matt finishes hide small flaws, while eggshell and washable finishes suit hallways and children’s rooms better.

Ceilings

Ceilings show uneven paint under low light. Therefore, we cut in carefully and roll them in one continuous pass.

Doors and frames

Painted doors and frames need a harder finish than walls. As a result, we use a suitable enamel or water-based trim paint.

Skirting and trims

Skirting takes knocks from cleaning and furniture. So it gets the same durable finish as the doors.

Feature walls

A darker colour on one wall can anchor a room. Alternatively, wall panelling adds texture as well as colour.

Occupied homes

When you are living at home, we work room by room and keep each one usable at the end of the day.

Colour and light

Choosing colours for interior painting in Dubai

Dubai homes get strong, warm daylight, and that changes how colours look. A grey that seems neutral on a sample card can turn cold in a north-facing room, while a warm white can look yellow beside a big west window.

So we paint sample patches on your own walls first. Then you can see them in the morning and evening before choosing. In addition, we suggest one finish family for the whole home, so rooms flow into each other.

Not furniture

Interior painting is different from furniture painting

This page covers walls, ceilings and the woodwork fixed to them. Painting furniture or cabinets is a separate workshop process, with spraying and curing. For that, see furniture repainting or kitchen cabinet painting.

Exterior walls are different again, because they face sun, heat and dust. Our exterior painting page covers villa walls and boundary walls.

Process

How an interior painting job runs

  1. Walk-through We agree the rooms, colours and finishes, and note any repairs.
  2. Protection First, floors, furniture and fittings are covered and masked.
  3. Preparation Next, holes and cracks are filled, sanded and primed.
  4. Cutting in Edges, corners and ceiling lines are painted by brush.
  5. Colour coats Then walls and ceilings are rolled to an even finish.
  6. Clean-up Finally, masking comes off, and we check every room in daylight with you.

Budget

What affects the cost of interior painting

We price interior painting from the rooms and the condition of the surfaces. The main factors are:

  • the wall and ceiling area
  • the amount of filling and repair needed
  • a change from dark to light colours, which needs more coats
  • doors, frames and skirting included
  • furniture that has to be moved and protected

Ceiling height affects access, so double-height spaces take longer. Similarly, a furnished home takes more preparation than an empty one before handover.

To get an estimate, send the number of rooms, rough sizes and photos of the walls. We will then confirm on site.

Questions

Interior painting FAQs

Can you paint while we are living at home?

Yes. We work room by room, protect furniture and use low-odour paints where possible.

How many coats do walls need?

Usually two over a sound, primed surface. However, a strong colour change or new plaster can need more.

Do you help choose colours?

We can show sample colours on your walls, so you see them in your own light before deciding.

Can you repaint doors and skirting?

Yes, as part of the same job. These surfaces get a harder-wearing trim finish.
