Clinic Fit-Out in Dubai
A clinic fit-out has to feel calm for patients, while also working hard for staff. Surfaces must clean easily, storage must be organised, and the reception must handle a steady flow of people. So we build the joinery for that in our own workshop. Then our team fits it to the drawings your healthcare designer or licensing consultant has approved.
- Reception Desks sized for staff, screens and files.
- Treatment rooms Cabinets, worktops and storage.
- Easy to clean Sealed edges and wipe-clean finishes.
- Own workshop Made to measure in Ras Al Khor.
Clinic
Rules first
Plan a clinic fit-out around the approved design
Healthcare facilities in Dubai are licensed by a health authority, which also sets its own design requirements. In most of Dubai, that is the Dubai Health Authority. In practice, your designer or licensing consultant confirms those requirements. We then build and fit the joinery to the approved drawings.
For that reason, we ask early for:
- the approved or draft layout
- the type of practice, such as dental, dermatology or physiotherapy
- equipment that joinery must fit around
- the building’s fit-out rules and working hours
- your target opening date
Scope
What a clinic fit-out can include
Reception desk
A counter with a lower section for wheelchair users, as well as space for screens and files. See reception counters.
Waiting area
Fitted benches, storage and wall panelling that stand up to daily use, especially at busy times.
Treatment room cabinets
Cabinets, worktops and storage arranged around the equipment, so nothing blocks access.
Consultation rooms
Desks and shelving, plus storage that keeps files out of sight, so the room stays calm.
Staff and stores
Lockers, a staff pantry and shelving for stock and records.
Finishes and services
Painting, ceilings, tiling works and electrical works, managed under our contract.
Hygiene and wear
Materials for clinic joinery
Clinic surfaces are cleaned often, especially in treatment rooms. So we choose finishes that resist moisture and cleaning, and we seal every exposed edge. Joints and handles are kept simple, because dust collects in grooves.
Worktops in treatment rooms also need particular care. Where a sink sits in the worktop, we use moisture-resistant boards and seal the cut-outs.
Comfort matters as much as hygiene. At the same time, warm timber at reception and in the waiting area makes a clinic feel less clinical. Meanwhile, treatment rooms stay plain and practical.
Your designer may specify particular materials. In that case, we confirm availability and build to that specification.
Process
How a clinic fit-out runs
- Drawings We review the approved layout and the equipment list.
- Survey Next, we measure the unit and check the services.
- Shop drawings Then we draw each piece of joinery for your sign-off.
- Workshop Meanwhile, we build and finish the joinery in Ras Al Khor.
- Fitting After that, our team installs it within the building’s hours.
- Handover Finally, we snag every room with you before inspection.
Building work in Dubai follows the Dubai Building Code, alongside any rules your building or community sets.
Budget
What affects the cost of a clinic fit-out
We price every clinic fit-out from the drawings and the survey, because no two clinics are alike. The main factors are:
- the number of treatment and consultation rooms
- the reception desk design
- worktops, sinks and specialist storage
- materials and finishes
- the building’s working hours and access
Repeating rooms help the budget. For example, four identical treatment rooms cost less per room than four different ones, because the workshop can make them together.
Before we visit, send the layout, the equipment list and your opening date.
