Carpentry in The Springs
Carpentry in The Springs means making a compact townhouse work harder. The Emaar houses hand over with a kitchen, a few wardrobes and very little else besides, so most of the work is storage: full-height wardrobes, a better kitchen, a media wall and something useful under the stair. We measure the house, build the pieces in our Ras Al Khor workshop and install them with our own fitters.
Because the townhouse types repeat across all fifteen Springs, we can usually tell you what will fit before we arrive.

Carpentry in The Springs: all fifteen communities
The Springs is fifteen numbered communities of two to four bedroom townhouses, set on lakes within Emirates Living. Because the types repeat, we keep measured drawings for the common layouts.
Townhouse types follow Emaar’s original plans. If yours is not listed, then send the community number and we will confirm before you commit to anything. We also cover The Meadows, The Lakes and Jumeirah Islands, and the full list is on areas we serve in Dubai.
What carpentry in The Springs covers
Most of our work in The Springs is one of six things, so here they are. Each one starts with a measured survey, because a Type 3M wall is never quite the width on the plan.

Floor-to-ceiling units for the master and the smaller bedrooms, sized to the actual wall rather than the plan. See also fitted wardrobes.

The developer kitchen is fine until the doors chip, so we change the fronts or otherwise rebuild the run. See also kitchen makeovers.

This is also the piece that decides how the living room works, so cables, ventilation and the soundbar are designed in. See also TV units and media walls.

Drawers and a coat cupboard under the stair, where the pram and the shoes currently live. See also staircases.

A proper pantry and laundry storage, because these are the rooms every townhouse plan leaves bare. See also laundry and utility storage.

Hinged, sliding and pivot doors made to the opening rather than the catalogue. See also interior doors.
How a job runs, start to finish
Survey
We visit the house and measure every wall that matters, then photograph the space. Send the villa type or plot number first, because it tells us a lot before we arrive.
Drawings and approval
Before anything else, you receive the layout, the materials and physical finish samples. For anything fixed to the structure we also supply the scope and our trade documents, because community management asks for them. The work follows the Dubai Building Code.
Fixed quotation
Priced line by line, so you can add or drop an element without renegotiating the whole job. Then nothing goes to the workshop until you sign it off.
Manufacture
Then we cut, assemble and finish everything in Ras Al Khor. This is where most of the calendar time sits, and it is also why the house stays liveable: the dust happens in our workshop, not your hallway.
Installation
Finally our own fitters arrive, usually for one to three days on a villa. We also protect the floors, contain the work area and clear up at the end of each day.
Materials and finishes for carpentry in The Springs
Carpentry in The Springs takes daily use from children, cleaners and the occasional leak from a washing machine, so we choose materials for that life rather than for the showroom. Three options, however, cover most of the work we do here.
Moisture-resistant board
- Best for
- Carcasses for kitchens, bathrooms and laundries, especially anywhere water may reach.
- Finish
- Laminate or melamine inside, together with sealed edges throughout.
- Watch for
- Swelling at the base when a pipe drips, which is the usual failure, so every edge is sealed.
Laminate and melamine
- Best for
- Wardrobe interiors, utility rooms and especially children’s rooms that take daily knocks.
- Finish
- Hundreds of colours and wood-grain prints, so there is always a match.
- Watch for
- Visible joints on long runs, so we plan the panel layout before cutting.
Veneer and lacquer
- Best for
- The visible faces, in other words the part you touch every day.
- Finish
- Veneer where the grain matters, otherwise sprayed lacquer where you want a clean colour.
- Watch for
- Mixing the two on one piece, so we sample both together before we commit.
Fit-out detail
Finally, here are seven plates from recent work. Each one was drawn for a specific room, and that is the only reason any of them fit.

FAQs about carpentry in The Springs
Do I need Emaar approval before fitting wardrobes?
No. Internal joinery needs no community approval. Garden pergolas and external doors do, and the Dubai Building Code applies. Our Emaar NOC guide explains the process.
How wide are the bedroom walls in a Type 3M?
As a guide, the master wardrobe wall is usually between 2.4 m and 3.1 m, although it varies with the extension. We measure before we draw anything.
Can you get large pieces up the staircase?
Yes, because we design every wardrobe and TV wall in sections that fit the stair and the landing, then assemble them in the room.
How long does a fitted wardrobe take?
Around three to four weeks from approved drawings, then one day on site. Because we cut everything in the workshop, the house stays liveable throughout.
Can you match the existing doors and skirting?
Yes, because that is the point of a measured survey. Bring a photograph or an offcut, and the drawings will match the door profile and the timber tone.
What does it cost?
It depends on width, interior layout and finish, so we quote after the survey. Our fitted wardrobe cost guide gives current ranges per running metre.
Planning carpentry in your Springs townhouse?
Send a photograph of the room and the community number. Then we will tell you what the space will take, confirm the access rules, and arrange the free survey.
