Joinery in Emirates Hills
Joinery in Emirates Hills is bespoke work at the top of the scale. The villas are individually designed, often over 10,000 square feet, and the owners expect dressing rooms, libraries and majlis interiors to match the architecture. We design, make and then install all of it from one workshop.
Because every house is different, nothing here is standard. So we start with a private survey, then produce drawings and samples before we cut a single board.
Fig. 01Fitted family room, walnut veneerWhy joinery in Emirates Hills is its own job
Emirates Hills was master-planned by Emaar around the Montgomerie golf course, but each villa was built to its owner’s design. As a result, no two houses share a floor plan. Ceilings run to four metres, staircases sweep, and the rooms are so large that we design joinery as architecture rather than furniture.
That changes how we work, in particular at the drawing stage. First, we spend longer on drawings: elevations for every wall, sections through each cabinet, and a sample board of veneers, lacquers and metals. Second, we sequence the build so that we can install a dressing room, a library and a kitchen in stages without disturbing the household. Third, we return for an adjustment visit after the house has settled, because large doors and panels move slightly in the first season.
Many owners here are also refurbishing rather than building. Owners want to keep the stone and the structure, and replace tired joinery from the 2000s with cleaner lines. For example, a book-matched walnut library can replace a dated mahogany one on the same wall, and a sprayed kitchen can take the place of high-gloss doors that have yellowed.

From private survey to installation
Owners fit out large houses in stages, so we build the joinery the same way. We agree the order of rooms with you or your interior designer, and then every stage follows the same five steps.
Survey & brief
Before anything else, we walk the house with you, measure the rooms involved and discuss the finish level. Large houses need a sequence, so we agree it at this stage.
Design drawings
Soon afterwards, elevations, sections and a sample board arrive. For example, a dressing room gets a drawer-by-drawer plan before we price anything.
Fixed quotation
We price by element, so the library and the majlis can proceed on different dates. Read our quote checklist before you sign.
Workshop build
After that, we match the veneers, spray the lacquers and fit the hardware in Ras Al Khor. Then we dry-assemble every piece before delivery.
Installation
Finally, our team installs in stages, room by room, and returns for a final adjustment visit once the house has settled.
Materials and finishes for joinery in Emirates Hills
For joinery in Emirates Hills the material is the design. These are the three we specify most, and we send physical samples before any decision.
Walnut & oak veneer
Book-matched across a run of doors so the pattern reads as one surface. As a result, this is the finish most high-end briefs ask for.
High-gloss & matt lacquer
Multiple coats sprayed in the workshop booth, then polished. Handle-less fronts with push-to-open hardware suit it especially well.
Stone, brass & glass
We integrate stone tops, brass trims and glass shelving with the joinery, so one team is responsible for the whole piece.
We also work with marble, leather inlays and lighting integrated into the joinery. If you are working with a designer, we build from their drawings; otherwise our design service prepares them with you.

FAQs about joinery in Emirates Hills
Can you work from my interior designer’s drawings?
Yes, and in fact we prefer it. Send the drawings and the finish schedule, and we return shop drawings for approval. If details are missing, we propose them rather than guess. Where there is no designer, our design service prepares the drawings with you.
Do you need an Emaar NOC for joinery?
Internal joinery does not. Structural changes, external doors and anything visible from outside do, and the Dubai Building Code applies to all of it. We supply the trade documents and method statements for the application.
How do you handle a four-metre door or panel?
We build them as engineered panels with a stable core and a veneered face, so they do not twist. Then we fit heavy-duty pivots or concealed hinges rated for the weight, and we return after the first season to adjust.
How long does a dressing room take?
Six to eight weeks from approved drawings, because veneer matching and lacquer curing take their time. Installation takes three to five days, and we work room by room so the house stays usable.
Can you replace dated joinery without damaging the stone?
Yes. We remove the old units carefully, make good the walls and scribe the new work to the existing marble or timber floor. Where old cabinets left a cut line in the floor, we plan plinths that cover it.
What do you charge?
We price each element separately, so you can see the cost of the library against the kitchen. Our quote checklist explains what a proper quotation should include before you compare suppliers.
