A staircase is the largest single piece of joinery in most villas and the hardest to change later. We build timber treads, handrails and balustrades that are set out correctly the first time.
A statement built for everyday use
Floating treads, closed-string traditional flights and curved returns all have one thing in common: the setting-out decides whether it looks right. We calculate the rise and going to the millimetre and check it against how the stair is actually used.
Balustrades are specified for safety first, then appearance — glass, brass, steel or timber.
Craftsmanship at every step
Handrails are shaped to the hand, not to a catalogue profile. Treads are matched for grain and finished so the first step and the last look alike.
We coordinate with your builder on the structure, so the timber arrives when the opening is ready rather than sitting on site.
What affects the price
The number of treads, whether the stair is straight or curved, the balustrade material, and the handrail profile. A curved string is significantly more work than a straight one.
