Shop Fit-Out in Dubai

A shop fit-out has to sell the product and survive heavy daily use, while still opening on time. Most of what a customer sees is joinery: the counter, the display walls and the fitting rooms. So we build those in our own workshop in Ras Al Khor. Then our team fits them in your unit, often outside trading hours.

  • Counters Cash desks and service counters.
  • Display Shelving, gondolas and feature walls.
  • Back of house Stock rooms and staff storage.
  • Own workshop Made to measure in Ras Al Khor.

Start with the product

Plan a shop fit-out around what you sell

Every shop sells differently. For example, a fashion store needs hanging rails and fitting rooms, while a pharmacy needs dense, adjustable shelving. So we begin with the product, the stock levels and how customers move through the unit.

During the survey, we also note:

  • the unit size, ceiling height and columns
  • where power, data and lighting arrive
  • the shopfront and the view from outside
  • the landlord’s fit-out rules and working hours
  • your opening date

Scope

What a shop fit-out can include

Counters and cash desks

A counter sized for the till, packing and bags. Our reception counters page also shows similar work.

Display shelving

Adjustable shelves and wall bays, so the layout can change with the season.

Feature walls

Timber or painted panelling behind the counter, especially along the main wall. See wall panelling.

Fitting rooms

Cubicles with mirrors, hooks and a bench, built so they take daily wear.

Stock and staff storage

Back-of-house shelving and lockers, including a small staff area.

Finishes and services

Painting, ceilings, tiling works and electrical works, managed under our contract.

Landlord rules

Mall and landlord requirements

Most Dubai malls and many street-front landlords publish fit-out guidelines. These often cover working hours and materials, as well as fire safety and inspections. Therefore, the landlord’s requirements shape the design before any joinery is drawn.

Usually, you or your fit-out manager submit the drawings for approval. We supply the drawings and details of our joinery, so the submission is complete.

Working hours matter too. Many malls only allow noisy work at night. So we make and finish almost everything in the workshop, and we use the night shifts for assembly.

If you also need an office or reception elsewhere, see our office renovation page.

Process

How a shop fit-out runs

  1. Survey We measure the unit and read the landlord’s guidelines.
  2. Design Next, we draw the joinery around your product and layout.
  3. Approval Then you submit the drawings to the landlord, with our details.
  4. Workshop Meanwhile, we build and finish the joinery in Ras Al Khor.
  5. Fitting After that, our team installs it in the permitted hours.
  6. Handover Finally, we snag the unit with you before opening.

Building work in Dubai follows the Dubai Building Code, alongside any rules your building or community sets.

Budget

What affects the cost of a shop fit-out

We price every shop fit-out from the survey and the approved layout, because every unit is different. The main factors are:

  • the unit size and the length of display walls
  • counters, fitting rooms and special displays
  • materials and finishes
  • landlord requirements and night working
  • ceiling, flooring and electrical work

Standard shelving systems cost less than fully bespoke joinery. However, a few bespoke pieces, such as the counter and one feature wall, often give the shop its identity.

Before we visit, send the unit drawing, photos and your opening date.
